Tip 1: From @AmericanAC_Heat
Which is more efficient:
- Leaving the fan on my Air Conditioner 'on' all the time or
- Setting the AC to 'auto' that turns it off an on accordingly?
Leaving the setting to 'on' all the time will cost more money. It does however, mix the air better and helps to maintain a more even temperature in the room.
Quick Tip: Turn on your ceiling fan. This will create a similar effect for less money.
Tip 2: From @AmericanAC_Heat
What setting on my thermostat will give me the best value?
79 is the recommended setting when you are home.
85 is the recommended setting when you are away.
Every degree above 80 that you set your thermostat you are saving 2-3 percent on the cooling portion of your bill. What it comes down to is the value you place on being comfortable?
Quick Tip: You can feel up to five degrees cooler by using a ceiling fan because of the wind chill effect.

What is the best time of year to have my cooling system inspected?
Spring! Now is the time because it is before the start of the super hot weather aka 'cooling season'.
Quick Tip: If your system is ever making noise or not working properly do not use it and have it check immediately.
